Intern - Life Sciences / Pharmacy / Chemistry – Extractables & Leachables CoE
Welcome to our team
The E&L CoE is an essential hub within Animal Health . This team is focused on providing scientific expertise, global guidance, and risk‑based strategies for extractables and leachables related to primary packaging materials, process contact materials, and devices used in veterinary drug products.
The team consists of experienced subject‑matter experts who work closely with manufacturing sites, quality, regulatory affairs, packaging technology, and development functions to ensure consistent, science‑based and inspection‑defensible E&L approaches across the product lifecycle.
Your internship assignment
As an intern, you will be responsible for delivering a scientific, evidence‑based memo on the selection of model solvents and testing conditions in extractables studies for primary packaging materials and process contact materials used in veterinary drug products.
The outcome of the internship is a structured internal reference document that supports consistent extractables study design, scientific justification, and knowledge sharing within the E&L Center of Excellence.
Your responsibilities
The tasks described form the basic package and will often be performed independently after a proper training and learning period. These tasks may be supplemented with other projects and/or tasks on your own initiative or at the request of the organization.
What is required
Master’s student (or final‑year Bachelor’s) in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field
Interest in research, scientific writing, pharmaceutical quality, packaging materials, or regulatory science
Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Available for a period of several months for 4–5 days per week
