Job Description
Your Team
Brookfield Residential’ s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide students with a unique opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the success of our projects and operations. This internship program is open to highly motivated and driven students who are eager to explore the development and residential real estate industry, gain practical experience, and make meaningful contributions to our team. The Summer Internship Program will begin on May 25, 2026 and conclude on August 14, 2026.
Your Key Deliverables
This opportunity will work closely with our Land Acquisitions team. Areas of responsibility will include, and not limited to, the following:
Support project underwriting (i.e. government fees, competitive market analysis, project schedules, entitlement strategy, acquisition structure, project costs, and similar tasks)
Identify properties for acquisition based on provided parameters
Conduct market research to support targeted acquisitions. Participate in compiling assumption sets to drive maximum land residual and proforma analysis
Attend team calls to discuss project pipeline and underwriting efforts
Support overall pursuit and entitlement efforts
Qualifications
· Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in a related field (e.g., Real Estate, Construction Management, Business, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning).
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· A keen interest in real estate and development.
· Self-motivated, eager to learn, and a strong team player.
· A positive and can-do attitude.
· Ability to work 40 hours per week Monday – Friday.
· Must possess reliable transportation.
