About the Role
Providing support to all headphone projects, including JBL, AKG.
What You Will Do
Conduct design brainstorming sessions and create concept designs in 2D and 3D formats.
Prototype designs using in-house and 3rd party resources.
Develop detailed product design specifications and CMF documents.
Present the new designs to the design management and product development teams.
Investigate and propose new fit and finish options and CMF trends.
Staying up-to-date on industry trends, technological advancements, and customer needs.
Brainstorming and working with the global Harman & Samsung design teams to develop initial design concepts.
Ensuring that all projects are delivered to the market excellently and with utmost attention to detail and quality.
Work on innovative and trend-defining product concepts in collaboration with our multi-disciplinary creative teams across the globe.
Work with design leaders in all phases of the design thinking process, from concept to strategic, tactical, and implementation.
What You Need to Be Successful
Love for Design & Music.
Experience in designing products for the world of the consumer market.
Solid knowledge of the design process, from trend research and design strategy to concept development and manufacturing execution.
Excellent 2D and 3D skills: fluent in the Adobe Creative Suite and 3D such as Rhinoceros and KeyShot.
Experience defining Materials, Colors, and Finishes.
Ability to create photorealistic renderings.
Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication and presentation skills.
The ability to work seamlessly with leaders across functions.
Ability to multi-task many projects and products at once.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Industrial/Product design.
Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling methods, and assembly methods.
Able to quickly generate visual and physical definitions of new products that convey key attributes of function and layout.
A proven structured approach to creative problem-solving.
Bonus Point If You Have
Quick learner with self-motivation.
Ability to create many concepts for one product with direction from a product development manager.
Parametric design skills (Grasshopper scripting).
Good interpersonal skills with team spirit.
Familiar with audio products preferred.
Detail-oriented and dedicated to documentation work.
Ability to function in a team environment.
