Job Description:

We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic candidate to join our HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Control Applications team. The ideal candidate will assist in the development, simulation, and optimization of HVAC control algorithms using MATLAB and related tools. As an Intern, you will work closely with experienced professionals to develop, troubleshoot, and optimize applications using cutting-edge technologies. This role also offers hands-on experience in control system design and energy efficiency modeling for real-world applications.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and simulate HVAC control strategies using MATLAB/Simulink
  • Assist in modeling HVAC components and systems for performance analysis. 
  • Analyze system data to optimize energy efficiency and comfort parameters. 
  • Support integration of control algorithms into building automation systems. 
  • Document design processes, simulation results, and prepare technical reports. 
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on testing and validation of control logic. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate firmware with hardware components and validate system performance. 
  • Communicate effectively within the team to share progress, address challenges, and suggest improvements. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or related field. 
  • Strong proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink for modeling and simulation. 
  • Basic understanding of HVAC systems and thermodynamics
  • Knowledge of control theory (PID, model predictive control, etc.). 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. 
  • Good communication and documentation skills 
  • Basic understanding of embedded systems and microcontroller architecture.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities. 
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills. 
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a proactive and dynamic approach. 
  • A passion for learning and growing in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Skills: 

  • Familiarity with building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus). 
  • Experience with energy modelling tools or IoT-based control systems. 
  • Exposure to Python/C/C++ or other scripting languages for data analysis. 
  • Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git) and development environments will be a plus point
