ING has started an intensive journey to build Generative AI (GenAI) skills and embed them into the way we work. As part of this, every HR team has the objective to automate a high-effort or high-pain task; using GenAI and/or other automation solutions. In this internship, you’ll help HR teams identify impactful automation opportunities, design solutions, and support implementation, always with attention to quality, accuracy and responsible use of GenAI.
Highly depending on the maturity of each team:
Discover opportunities: work with People Services teams to spot tasks that are time-consuming, repetitive, or error-prone and define clear problem statements.
Design solutions: propose practical solution options (GenAI-driven or rule-based automation) and translate ideas into a lightweight delivery plan.
Support implementation: help build and roll out the selected solution with the team, and provide guidance and training where necessary.
How to identify and prioritize automation use cases in a corporate environment specifically in the domain of HR
How to shape GenAI solutions with a strong focus on quality, safety and adoption (testing, governance mindset, change management.
How to work with multiple stakeholders and deliver value iteratively.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear next steps.
Interest in GenAI and automation, and awareness that GenAI can produce incorrect outputs and potential bias. So testing matters.
Good stakeholder management and communication: you can collaborate across teams and keep people aligned.
A proactive mindset: you take initiative, learn fast, and enjoy translating ideas into tangible outcomes.
