As an Intern – Finance based in Dhaka, Bangladesh, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations. By managing the end-to-end invoicing process and supporting tax compliance, you help Roche maintain the strong vendor partnerships and operational excellence necessary to deliver life-saving solutions to patients.

The Opportunity

  • You manage the invoicing lifecycle, from receiving and reviewing vendor invoices for accuracy to ensuring they are authorized and processed for timely payment.

  • You perform critical reconciliations, matching invoices with purchase orders and receiving reports to ensure financial consistency.

  • You act as a key point of contact for vendors and internal departments, resolving discrepancies and handling inquiries with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset.

  • You support tax compliance by proactively issuing VAT certificates to suppliers, coordinating with Accounts Payable and Procurement to meet strict Roche timelines and local regulatory requirements.

  • You maintain meticulous records, including systematic logs for VAT certificates and organized digital/physical files for all invoice-related documentation.

  • You assist in essential financial cycles, including month-end and year-end closing procedures and internal/external audits related to transactional compliance.

  • You collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and recommend improvements that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of our invoicing processes.

Who You Are

  • You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • You possess a high level of attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring that financial data is handled with precision.

  • You have excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, and are comfortable using it for data analysis and reconciliation.

  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills, enabling you to build clear and effective relationships with vendors and colleagues.

  • You are a proactive learner who can work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • You demonstrate high integrity and the ability to handle confidential financial information with the utmost discretion.

  • You are available for a 6-month internship based at our Dhaka office.
