Intern - Event Services, TOUR Championship

Responsible for assisting the Event Services Director with hospitality, sponsorship activation and client services.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduating senior or graduate student in an accredited four-year college or university or currently possess a bachelor’s degree

  • Sports Marketing/Management, Marketing, Communications or comparable majors preferred

  • Prior sporting event experience preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

  • Work closely with the Event Services Director and Event Services Manager to coordinate all aspects of managing a golf tournament

  • Volunteer Administration - assist with the management of the entire volunteer process which includes application process, data entry, communication with volunteers and chairmen, volunteer package preparation, headquarters management, etc.  

  • Assist Event Services Director with organizing Sponsor Day, Honorary Observers, Women in Business Event, Media Day, Am-Am, and other smaller events/meetings

  • Responsible for inventory of tournament apparel, prizes, etc.; Management of incoming tournament related shipments.

  • Update materials related to corporate hospitality, players, volunteers, etc.

  • Manage tournament hospitality guide and assist with communication to corporate clients

  • Assist with general administrative work (ie answering phones, purchasing, billing, etc.)

SKILL SET REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and computer skills are crucial

  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Ability to take initiative and be proactive in accomplishing tasks

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at once and work well under pressure

  • Manage time efficiently

  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually

  • Some heavy lifting and labor is required

LOCATION

Atlanta, GA

DATES & HOURS

June 2026 – Early September 2026

  • Applicant must be willing to work long hours prior to and during the tournament (event dates are August 24 – 30, 2026) 

  • End of May/June – 30 -40 hour weeks

  • July - September: 40 – 100 hour weeks

This is an hourly paid position.  Applicant is responsible for own food & lodging expenses during employment.
