About the Job

Responsibilities

Security Operations 

  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing security alerts from various monitoring tools 

  • Participate in the identification and investigation of security incidents and breaches 

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of security measures and controls 

  • Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing 

  • Aid in the documentation and reporting of security incidents and their resolutions 

  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure secure configurations and updates of systems 

  • Assist in the development and deployment of security automation scripts and tools 

  • Participate in regular security audits and compliance checks 

 
Governance  

  • Support the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices 

  • Support the maintenance of security documentation, including risk assessments, control matrices, and other compliance-related materials 

  • Participate in security awareness training programs and initiatives 

  • Aid in the review and analysis of security-related data to identify trends and potential improvements 

  • Collaborate with various departments to promote a culture of security awareness and compliance 

  • Assist in maintaining a comprehensive inventory of information assets and associated risks 

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or any other related disciplines

  • Demonstrates an interest in cybersecurity and a willingness to learn and stay updated on the latest threats and trends 

  • Possess foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, tools, and techniques, as well as awareness of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) 

  • Familiarity with operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux) and basic networking concepts 

  • Hands-on experience with security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus software will be an advantage 

  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell is a plus 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail 

  • Certifications (preferred but not required): CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or other relevant cybersecurity certifications
