About the Internship
The South Asia Program is seeking an intern to support work in medical technology innovations, artificial intelligence, and digital health. The intern will assist the team in research, project coordination, and field-level learning to advance technology-enabled solutions for healthcare systems. The MedTech Innovations team is part of the Digital, AI and MedTech vertical within PATH.
Key Responsibilities
- Support desk research on emerging health technologies and global innovations relevant to South Asia.
- Assist in designing and supporting implementation activities for digital, AI, and MedTech solutions.
- Contribute to state-level, national, and regional demonstration projects by coordinating tasks and documentation.
- Support evidence gathering through field visits, interviews, and data collection to inform project planning and policy recommendations.
- Assist with progress tracking and communication with state teams through virtual platforms and structured follow-ups.
- Help prepare briefs, presentations, and recommendations for donors, innovators, government partners, and internal teams.
- Support assessment of health technologies and innovations as required under ongoing projects.
- Provide general programmatic and administrative support to the Digital, AI and MedTech vertical.
Required Qualifications
- Current graduate or undergraduate student in Engineering (Biomedical preferred), Life Sciences (Microbiology, Biotechnology), Public Health, or related fields. Recently graduated students may also apply.
- Strong interest in digital health, MedTech, AI, or health systems.
- Prior internship or experience in public health, research, healthcare, technology, or related domains is desirable (not mandatory).
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Duration – Three months, full-time internship
