About The Team
The UI/UX Designer will join the Supply Chain Digital Transformation team within the Supply Chain Management (SCM) organization at FIS. Our team is responsible for optimizing operational efficiencies of supply chain business processes through the agile and innovative use of technology to enable control, insight, and rapid decision-making. About the Role
The UI/UX Designer will support the optimization of supply chain business processes to improve operational efficiency with user-friendly interfaces and intuitive designs. As part of the role, the UI/UX Designer Co-op will focus on helping to improve the user journey by applying design thinking, usability testing, and accessibility best practices. We aim to create intuitive, user research-based experiences that help users work more efficiently. By driving adoption and user engagement and satisfaction across multiple roles, the UI/UX Designer will enable the department to focus on developing and implementing operational excellence strategies that will modernize the Supply Chain organization of the future by improving communication, data synergy, and streamlining processes for automation.
The position will be fully remote, with occasional travel to the office as needed. In-person outings will be organized for the co-op students during the term and attendance is encouraged.
The position is available is an 8-month co-op placement.
What You Will Be Doing
We are looking for a UI/UX Designer Co-op who will support the end-to-end operational transformation team. As a co-op, you will work closely with the team to support design and enhancements with key functional departments and across customer journeys. You will help develop easy-to-use internal controls and management reporting to monitor and measure the effectiveness of improvement initiatives. Example work areas will include:
Develop intuitive UI to provide enhanced site function and a smooth user experience
Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, build page navigation buttons, and search fields
Illustrate designs using process maps, wireframes, workflow diagrams, and documentation to support process analysis and improvement efforts
Create mockups and prototypes to convey site functions and follow corporate standards on font, colors, and align with other related corporate applications
Creating Figma components that align with an existing design system and follow established standards
Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and evaluate business process improvements
Analyze user experience from an end-to-end business processes perspective within the supply chain to identify areas for improved adoption and process optimization
Support the monitoring and measurement of key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of process improvements
Support user interviews, usability testing, and help to synthesize findings into actionable recommendations
Create clickable prototypes based on flows to help simulate the product for testing purposes
Assist in creating personas, user flows, and journey maps to guide design decisions
Collaborate with developers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and aligned to best practices and accessibility standards
What You Bring
Enrolled in a Bachelor's program in User Experience Design (preferred), Business, or a related field
Must be actively enrolled in an accredited Co‑operative Education program at an Ontario university or college for the duration of the placement, from January 2026 through August 2026
A portfolio of design projects that demonstrates understanding of design principles and UX processes
Excellent attention to detail
Knowledge and experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
Excellent proactive communication skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and convey complex processes clearly, including design rationale and user insights
Familiar with UX Best Practices and Heuristics, Usability Testing, Accessibility (WACG), Prototyping, Design Thinking, and other user research methods
Understanding of how to leverage a corporate Design System and brand standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Self-motivated and a willingness to learn
