Job Summary:

The Creative Technology Intern supports the Creative Technology team with HubSpot email platform implementation and email marketing projects. The intern will assist with contact list segmentation, email template building, and client migration coordination. The intern will join team meetings and participate in team projects that directly impact our advertiser base and company-wide platform initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contact list segmentation and preparation from Salesforce; identifying missing publishers and data gaps; preparing opt-in campaigns for new contacts; tracking responses and building final segmented lists for HubSpot.
  • Email template building and testing in HubSpot; testing template rendering across multiple email clients; organizing and maintaining template library; supporting template customization for different client needs and branding requirements.
  • Client migration tracking and coordination using project management tools; coordinating with Client Service team on client requirements and timelines; documenting migration status and issues; supporting quality assurance testing and first send monitoring.
  • Data organization and documentation; maintaining accurate records of client migration status; creating and updating tracking data; documenting processes, issues, and resolutions; preparing client communication materials.
  • Team support and project participation; responding to team requests and JIRA tasks; participating in team meetings; supporting quality assurance testing; escalating blockers and issues to project lead.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets and data management (Excel or Google Sheets); comfortable working with large datasets and identifying data quality issues.
  • Ability to prioritize work, set expectations, meet deadlines and produce consistent, quality work on time and within budget. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple clients and competing priorities.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Basic understanding of email marketing and familiarity with email platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar tools is a plus, but not required).
  • Basic understanding and some experience working with HTML, some CSS, Adobe Creative Suite applications, specifically Photoshop and other web technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to catch errors in contact lists and client requirements; accuracy is critical in this role.

At the time of posting, Rakuten expects the hourly rate for this role will be between $20 - $25 per hour. Individual compensation will vary based on job-related factors, including the skills, qualifications, and experience of the successful candidate as well as business need and geographic location.
