Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Corporate Communications Intern to support the execution of our internal and external communications strategy. This student-level role will focus on supporting the development and distribution of content across digital platforms, including internal emails, newsletters, social media, and web content, as well as assisting with asset management (photos, videos, documents, etc.). The ideal candidate is a strong writer and content creator with an interest in gaining experience in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Communications:
Assist in developing content for the company newsletter and intranet, including news articles, leadership messages, and organizational updates.
Support onsite events in Acton MA, including summer picnic, town hall, and other employee engagement activities.
External Communications:
Assist in managing corporate social media channels (e.g., LinkedIn), including content creation, review, and obtaining approval from internal partners and employees.
Support updates and maintenance of the corporate website, Insulet.com
Copyedit press releases, media statements, and other external-facing content for AP style, grammar, punctuation, and brand messaging.
Ensure all content aligns with brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines.
Content Management and Administrative Support:
Assist team with organization of content, including photos, videos, documents, and presentations, using SharePoint and/or Digital Asset Management System (Canto)
Triage and respond to department mailboxes, Corporate Communications and PR, using guidelines and escalating messages as needed
Attend cross-functional meetings with internal partners to support communications initiatives
Qualifications:
Undergraduate pursuing a BA/BS in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
Rising junior or senior undergraduate student
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience with Microsoft 365 and other digital communication tools
Strong interpersonal skills and desire to learn from others, especially across various departments and cultures and in a remote work environment
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content
Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Exceptional writing and editing skills; experience with AP style is a plus
Personal interest in managing diabetes or other chronic health conditions
