We’re seeking an enthusiastic summer student to provide support to the Asset Management team with regards to financial decisions affecting Calgary Real Estate Assets. As a member of the Asset Management team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging projects that will utilize your business knowledge and skills, while providing you with the opportunity to develop new skills. Direct involvement in the business planning process and an interest in property investment are expected. In this role, you will play a key role in inspiring change and continual improvement. Contribute to the property budgeting process and the preparation of the annual business plan
Assist in analyzing new leasing deals and undertaking tenant credit checks
Contribute to ensuring the accuracy of real estate valuation models (Argus Enterprise)
Assist Associate as necessary, including the preparation of various ad hoc analyses (Excel based)
Miscellaneous projects with other departments and corporate team
Completed high-school diploma; currently enrolled in a post-secondary degree in Business Studies, preferably with a focus on Finance or Real Estate
Intermediate level of general MS Office
Exposure to Real Estate Valuation Software is an asset
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written) and ability to interact with all levels of
the organization
Self-motivated with the ability to work under minimal supervision and independently when required
Demonstrated flexibility, strong organizational skills, and detail orientation
A team player, able to work in a fast-paced environment, cope with changing priorities and meet
deadlines
Professional with a positive attitude
Ability to effectively balance a varied workload involving numerous projects and overlapping time
constraints to meet tight deadlines
