Project Overview

Team Overview & Context:

The HOA & Municipalities team manages compliance across hundreds of single-family rental properties governed by Homeowners Associations (HOAs) and local municipalities. The team ensures that all properties adhere to community standards, resolve violations, and avoid financial exposure from fines or liens.

Current Challenge: The team handles a high volume of HOA violation notices daily and needs support in tracking, documenting, and driving resolution across multiple markets.

Business Impact: Timely resolution of HOA violations prevents accruing fines, protects property values, and ensures a positive resident experience.

Project Description & Objectives

Project Description:

The intern will support the HOA Violations & Compliance workflow by assisting in the intake, tracking, and resolution of HOA violation notices across Main Street Renewal's property portfolio.

The intern will work directly within Salesforce to manage violation records and coordinate with internal teams to drive compliance.

Key Objectives:

•  Support the intake and classification of HOA violation notices in Salesforce

•  Assist in tracking cure deadlines and following up with internal resolution teams

•  Help document compliance evidence (photos, invoices, confirmations) for case closure

•  Contribute to reporting on open violations, aging cases, and fine exposure

Key Responsibilities:

•  Review and validate incoming HOA violation notices

•  Create and update violation records in Salesforce with accurate data

•  Coordinate with Maintenance, Recurring Services, and Construction teams for cure

•  Monitor cure deadlines and escalate high-priority or accruing fine cases

•  Communicate with HOA issuers to confirm compliance and request ledgers

•  Support quality control review of IDP-created records

Deliverables by End of Internship:

•  Accurate and up-to-date violation records in Salesforce for assigned portfolio

•  Documentation of resolved cases with proof of compliance

•  Weekly status report on open violations and aging cases

•  Process improvement suggestions based on observed workflow gaps

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

•  Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Law, Real Estate, or related field

•  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

•  Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously

•  English proficiency (written and verbal) – B2 or higher

Technical & Behavioral Skills:

•  Basic knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce experience is a plus)

•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)

•  Strong written communication skills

•  Proactive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

•  Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
