Job Description

As an Accounting & Controlling Intern, you will support our EMEA Accounting & Controlling team in daily financial operations. You will assist with monthly close activities, data organization for reports, and learn important accounting processes in a global environment. You will report to the Manager, Accounting & Controlling – EMEA and and have a hybrid schedule working in Rotterdam - Netherlands.

Your Responsibilities

• Assist with monthly close activities, including journal preparation and account reconciliation.
• Collect and organize data for financial reports and audit documentation.
• Support the team in reviewing and matching General Ledger accounts.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions to build knowledge of accounting standards and tools.
• Help with reporting tasks and data checks as needed by the Accounting & Controlling team.

The Essentials – You Will Have

• Minimum HBO required and currently studying Higher Education in Finance.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office products: Excel & Word.
• English proficiency (written and spoken).

The Preferred – You Might Also Have

• Previous internship or practical experience in accounting or finance.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
• Understanding of basic accounting principles and financial reporting.
