This position is responsible for advanced multimedia production, technical engineering, and innovative scenario development within the Cyber Range. The incumbent creates advanced interfaces, interactive features and multimedia content that support the overall user experience and scenario delivery. The role demands specialized technical knowledge, independent problem-solving, and strong collaboration skills to meet operational needs. The incumbent ensures reliable operation of AV (Audio-visual) systems, tailored software, and IT infrastructure while promoting the Cyber Range's capabilities to external stakeholders.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
1. Multimedia Design and Production: Create and edit multimedia content (video, audio, images, 3D models) using professional tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, ensuring professional-grade quality. Operate and maintain AV equipment, including cameras, microphones, audio mixers, lighting systems and intercom systems for live and recorded events. Configure and manage live-streaming setups, ensuring seamless delivery for training sessions and promotional content.
2. Technical Engineering: Designing, developing, and customizing advanced software and hardware solutions to meet the unique needs of the Cyber Range. This includes creating bespoke applications, integrating complex AV systems, and ensuring seamless communication between multimedia, IT, and network infrastructures. Ensuring that systems operate flawlessly during live events and maintaining and upgrading technical systems, ensuring they meet evolving security and performance standards.
3. Creative Scenario Design: Lead creative writing of storylines, write-ups, and storyboards for Cyber Range simulations, ensuring alignment with training objectives and client’s needs. Design innovative methods to utilize AV equipment, including Cyber Range’s interactive systems like surround sound system, phone system, lighting system and live broadcast station to enhance immersion and participant engagement. Ensure scenarios are realistic and impactful.
4. Simulation Coordination and Event Management: Coordinate live simulations, preparing all team members involved by ensuring they are familiar with their roles, equipment, and event timelines. Providing necessary briefings and training for a smooth operation. Monitor and manage the execution of simulations, ensuring everything runs on schedule. Show preparedness for disruptions and ability to improvise immediate solutions to ensure continuity of simulations. Serve as the point of contact for resolving any on-the-spot issues and maintaining control over critical events to meet performance standards.
5. AV Support for Events: Provide preparation, real-time troubleshooting and facilitation during live events, ensuring AV systems perform optimally. Monitor and maintain equipment, addressing any issues to ensure smooth operations.
6. Mentorship: Guide team members and/or volunteers, providing training and technical expertise to ensure project success. Oversee the design and deployment of advanced multimedia simulations, ensuring integration across IT, AV, and cybersecurity systems. Collaborate with senior leadership to set strategic goals for the Cyber Range, aligning technological advancements with organizational objectives. Manage the full production process, from scriptwriting to direction, ensuring actor performances align with technical specifications for Cyber Range simulations.
7. Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Research and implement emerging technologies in multimedia, AV, and simulation tools to enhance Cyber Range capabilities. Develop and test new tools and methods to improve training outcomes and operational efficiency.
8. Promotion and Outreach: Support the promotion of the Cyber Range by creating high-quality marketing and demonstration materials, including videos, graphics, and presentations. Collaborate with stakeholders and internal marketing teams to showcase the Cyber Range's capabilities to internal departments, external clients, and industry partners. Seek collaboration with other internal departments and institutions of interest. Participate in events, workshops, and presentations to highlight the value and impact of the Cyber Range's programs.
What you will bring:
• Bachelor’s degree (computer engineering, Multimedia Design) or relevant field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a technical or multimedia-focused role.
• Expertise in multimedia production, including advanced use of Adobe Creative Suite, 3D Design software, and AV systems.
• Programming experience with the ability to develop and maintain custom applications.
• Strong knowledge of IT systems, network protocols, and cybersecurity standards, with proven troubleshooting capabilities.
• Ability to work independently to solve complex technical problems for autonomy and expertise.
• Strong interpersonal skills to be able to interact with multiple clients and stakeholders
• Demonstrated initiative in identifying opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
• Bilingualism (English and French)
