Essential Responsibilities:
Participating in month end preparation of schedules, back-up calculations and journal entries
Reviewing and proposing month end accruals
Preparing variance reports for monthly reporting against budget
Scheduling and attending monthly meetings with Operations to discuss monthly results and asset values
Preparing and administering monthly sales tax filings
Preparing monthly bank and general ledger account reconciliations
Assist with reviewing expenditures for passthrough charging to clients
Preparing supporting schedules for financial statements
Take on special projects and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years’ full cycle accounting experience
Enrolled in the CPA program or equivalent
Demonstrated accounting experience with well-rounded knowledge of standard accounting concepts and practices
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, with expert knowledge of Excel
Advanced computer skills using accounting software; familiarity with JD Edwards or similar ERP system would be an asset
Strong attention to detail
Excellent interpersonal skills for interfacing with operations personnel, with strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, organize and manage multiple tasks, and set priorities
Commitment to excellent customer service
Work Conditions:
Hybrid, working from office once or twice a week.
