LRK is a nationally recognized design firm built around a team of architects, urban designers, planners, and interior designers. We believe that great places are created through successful collaboration and careful consideration of how these disciplines impact and respect the surrounding community.
We are seeking an emerging Interior Architect/Designer (0–2 years experience) to join our Memphis studio. This is an opportunity for a passionate, design-driven individual to contribute meaningfully to a wide range of projects — from dynamic community centers to boutique restaurant environments to large-scale multi-family, mixed-use, and commercial office developments.
What You’ll Do
As part of an integrated project team, you will:
• Contribute to concept development and design storytelling.
• Participate in collaborative design charrettes and internal reviews.
• Assist in translating ideas into thoughtful, well-crafted interior environments.
• Support material research, finish selections, and FF&E specification.
• Responsible for construction documentation and coordination.
• Conduct research and engage in conversations around building codes, accessibility, and technical detailing.
• Grow your understanding of how interiors shape the broader architectural and urban context.
• Have the opportunity to work on both large, complex projects and smaller, focused assignments — gaining exposure to the full design process from early visioning through implementation.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is:
• Deeply curious about design and eager to grow.
• Excited by collaboration and interdisciplinary teamwork.
• Thoughtful about materials, space, light, and experience.
• Detail-oriented and technically engaged.
• Comfortable communicating ideas visually and verbally.
Qualifications
• 0–2 years of professional experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field required.
• Experience or interest in multi-family residential, mixed-use, commercial, hospitality, and education environments preferred.
• Basic knowledge of concept development, documentation, and specifications required.
• Familiarity with and ability to understand building and accessibility codes required.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop), and Microsoft Office preferred.
• NCIDQ and/or LEED accreditation a plus.
