Interface Software Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, document, analyze, test, modify, and deploy lab interfaces for integrated lab clients.
  • Build, test, modify, and deploy HL7 interfaces.
  • Build, test, modify, and deploy JSON interfaces.
  • Document, create, test, and modify SFTP connectivity.
  • Consult with third-party vendors on interface software functionality and system specifications.
  • Troubleshoot errors during interface development, testing, and modification.
  • Provide ongoing support to clients using lab integrations.
  • Assist in the design, documentation, analysis, and testing of program features and prototype code before release.
  • Conduct interface training for facilities or labs when requested.
  • Audit integrations, document findings, and troubleshoot issues to improve client experience.
  • Support inquiries from lab partners and facilities through emails or calls.
  • Assist the CS team with lab-related questions through Slack and other support channels.
  • Respond to support emails sent to the main queue.
  • Provide quality assurance feedback to internal teams and clients.
  • Learn new programming languages as needed .

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience building, testing, and deploying interfaces for EMR/EHR platforms or other SaaS products.
  • 1+ years of HL7 experience or HL7 certification.
  • 1+ years of laboratory operations knowledge.
  • 1+ years of SFTP client knowledge.
  • Experience with Zendesk, ServiceNow, or similar ticketing systems.
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR and supporting systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong customer support orientation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to learn new software and internal workflows.
  • Strong problem-solving and task prioritization skills.
  • Ability to make sound quality decisions when resolving issues.
  • Willingness to go above and beyond expectations.
