Major Duties:

  • You will address technical issues in the engineering, test and development phases of the system.
  • You will apply innovative approaches to resolve complex engineering problems involving the integration of missile subsystems and interfaces with the submarine combat control system.
  • You will evaluate system engineering requirements management techniques, and engineering risks for strategic weapons.
  • You will assess the safety, performance, and reliability of deployed subsystems.
  • You will assist in managing the development of the SLCM-N with all programmatic, technical, and financial aspects including design, production, and test.
  • You will support the development/coordination of program documentation to support Milestone review processes as needed.
  • You will review and provide input into SLCM-N requirements including specifications, statements of work, and other contract and acquisition documentation for procurements.
  • You will interpret procurement and system requirements for contractors, subcontractors and government activities.

Qualifications: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 (GS-13 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing and reviewing nuclear weapons systems safety and surety policy, standards and technical requirements; evaluating systems requirements to support nuclear weapons testing and certification.
