Job Summary: You will serve as an Interdisciplinary Engineer in the Naval Sea Logistics Center of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA.

Major Duties:

  • You will perform a wide range of engineering technical reviews, analyses, and studies to anticipate and address problems and issues that arise during the acquisition sustainment of assigned Navy weapon and hull, mechanical, and electronic systems.
  • You will conduct parts research in support of the procurement of spare and repair parts, including researching manufacturing sources, investigating alternate parts, or source of supply, for obsolete parts, and validate shelf-life requirements.
  • You will make engineering determinations, process Liaison Action Requests (LARs), conduct engineering reviews of Technical Data Packages (TDPs), and maintain material designation data.
  • You will review first article testing reports and determine qualifications, review receipt inspection reports, adjudicate receipt inspection deficiencies, and respond to technical questions.
  • You will provide technical leadership and serve as a technical project manager as well as a subject matter expert within your area of specialization.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating technical data and documentation to identify solutions to procurement issues; conveying information and direction to both technical and non-technical audiences through written and oral communication; and utilizing computer based tracking systems to monitor workload and deadlines.
