Major Duties:

  • You will manage and lead interdisciplinary engineering teams to develop electronic, electrical, and mechanical instrumentation systems, ensuring technical, schedule, and cost objectives are met.
  • You will oversee and monitor contractor performance, ensuring the quality and acceptability of contracted efforts in support of instrumentation system development and maintenance.
  • You will prepare and defend program plans, including funding requirements, lifecycle cost profiles, and financial performance for assigned programs.
  • You will represent the organization in flight test program activities, including planning, coordination, and technical briefings for US and UK flight test programs.
  • You will provide senior-level technical guidance and recommendations to address complex engineering issues, ensuring reliable solutions and innovations.

Qualifications: In addition to the basic education requirement, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-3 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Professional engineering experience managing interdisciplinary engineering work, designing and testing instrumentation systems, overseeing contractors, and providing senior-level technical guidance.
