Job Summary: You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY CLINICAL SUPERVISOR in the Commander Navy Installation Command (CNIC), Department of Navy??????? of NAVAL STATION EVERETT.

Major Duties:

  • You will assess a work-life services program to identify trends and organizational needs to support the community (e.g., military or civilian).
  • You will assess patient treatment needs to develop a treatment plan.
  • You will identify needs of families experiencing domestic violence to provide counseling or assistance.
  • You will assess the services provided by staff members to verify quality care is provided to service members and their families.
  • You will determine facts and conditions of various life conditions to draw conclusions as to underlying causes or contributing factors of client problems.

Qualifications: In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) Providing leadership, management, policy, program, and resource management for a fleet and family supportprogram; 2) Facilitating multiple program services such as family advocacy, new parent support, clinical counseling, and crisis response emergency management; 3)Directing use of fund resources to ensure delivery of programs and services provided; 4) Maintaining professional contacts with both private and publicorganizations to develop, implement, or establish programs and operating parameters. Additional Information: FFSP clinical providers must have credentials review and be granted written clinical privileges by a privileging authority prior to providing independent clinical care. Must be Tier III eligible (providers licensed by a state or US territory to function as an independent clinical practitioner) must be able to provide clinical supervision with two years, full-time clinical experience post independent licensure or certification. Physical Demands The work is primarily sedentary in nature but may involve periods of high stress secondary to its varied and complex demands. The regular work performed involves sitting at a desk, sitting in meetings and conferences. Incumbent must be sufficiently mobile to climb stairs and to make site visits to associate military and civilian facilities in the local geographic area. Work Environment Work is performed in a normal office setting or conference room. Work is performed under constant demands to meet deadlines for completion of tasks. Work also involves dealing with sensitive, controversial and emotional issues due to the nature of sexual and/or child abuse allegations, domestic violence, suicidal and homicidal ideations and other violent behavior. This position is a TIER THREE clinical care practitioner with clinical supervisor eligibility. Applicants must meet all of the following requirements as outlined in SECNAVINST 1754.8: 1. Possess at least a masters or doctoral degree in one of the following disciplines: a. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP) or an equivalent degree, OR b. Master's degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) or an equivalent degree, OR c. Master's degree in Social Work from a graduate school accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or an equivalent degree, OR d. Doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited university or professional school and a one-year APA accredited clinical internship 2. State or U.S. territory license or certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner in the fields of Licensed Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Social Work, Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology. 3. When the state or U.S. territory licensing or certification requirements include a written examination, candidates for privileging, must have achieved a passing score on that examination. 4. Must have engaged in two years, full-time, post-masters supervised clinical experience AND have two years, full-time clinical experience post independent licensure or certification.
