Job Summary: You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist assigned to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) Cyber and Technical Threats Division. All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. This job opportunity announcement has a first cut-off 50 applicants.

Major Duties:

  • You will conduct complex all-source intelligence analysis to identify and assess the capabilities, intentions, and activities of cyber adversaries.
  • You will work in a collaborative environment and help to develop long-term, technical and detailed analysis, as well as, quick-turn responses to emerging issues.
  • You will maintain focus on foreign intelligence cyber activities impacting the DON and help to advance NCIS technical field operations.
  • You will draft and produce tactical and strategic products to include threat assessments, briefings and case notes detailing foreign intelligence cyber activities impacting the DON.
  • You will provide current and actionable information to assist field operations and inform senior NCIS and DON officials regarding cyber threats to DON equities.
  • You will independently ensure communication and/or explanation of technical data and/or information down to a greater diverse NCIS/DON/Fleet audience.
  • You will identify intelligence gaps, specific collection requirements to fill gaps, and develop analytical tools and methodologies to identify gaps
  • You will maintain liaison with personnel in other intelligence agencies, law enforcement organizations, military intelligence services and allied foreign governments.
  • You will serve as an analytical representative at interagency meetings and conferences.

Qualifications: GG-13: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing analytical, evaluation, interpretation and/or dissemination of information tasks relative to Cyber Intelligence analysis.
