Job Summary: You will serve as an INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Quantico - 70,623 to 111,087 (includes locality) Great Lakes - 68,999 to 108,533 (includes locality)

Major Duties:

  • You will collect, analyze, interpret, evaluate, integrate, and share complex data from multiple sources in assessing the relevance and significance of global developments.
  • You will perform internal and external collaboration with an enterprise-wide focus.
  • You will answer requests for information and produce output in the form of intelligence assessments and finished intelligence products for internal and external customers.
  • You will perform tasks regarding the analysis, evaluation, interpretation and dissemination of information.
  • You will possess an understanding of intelligence requirements, Intelligence Community Directives, and classified information requirements in accordance with applicable laws, polices and regulations.
  • You will proofread and review finished intelligence products for accurate use of grammar and content and to correct any grammatical, spelling, typographical, or compositional errors.
  • You will possess strong spelling, grammar, proofreading and communication skills. Demonstrate effective communication skills and ability to professionally interact with customers.

Qualifications: GG-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience analyzing and assisting with the interpretation and synthesis of intelligence data; navigating specified intelligence databases, message handling systems, and proprietary NCIS database; and researching for selecting and compiling specific intelligence information in preparation of formal written products of various types of customers. GG-09 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience researching and collecting intelligence data, assisting with interpretation of intelligence data; utilizing basic intelligence principles and methods and establishing procedures to analyze and evaluate information; and ensuring intelligence data is properly classified, stored and handled in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
