The primary purpose of this position is: This is a position in the Intelligence community involving duties and responsibilities within the 0132 series. This position serves as the Integrated Command, Control, Communications & Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Analysis Squadron Principle Intelligence Analyst (PIA).

Major Duties:

  • Drives flight level production within assigned functional area. Defmes, develops and formulates the technical structure, analytical approach, technical policies, procedures and concepts for the flight's analytical production function, programs and tasks to ensure a balanced program that stratifies intelligence consumers. Establishes, directs, and oversees appropriate analytic methodologies to maintain and improve the quality and quantity of assigned functional area of C4ISR analysis. Serves as the functional area C4ISR all-source Senior technical subject matter expert. Represents NASIC and the USAF in technical meetings and conferences involving assigned functional area of C4ISR.

Qualifications: This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions for series 0132. Advanced knowledge of analytical principles, concepts, and methods to produce detailed C4ISRanalysis of complex information/situations attained from multiple sources, to include database manipulation. Refined and senior level knowledge of the national intelligence community, Joint, DoD structure, organizations, and mission/functions, inter-relationships and operations. Refined skills in conducting unbiased complex research, identifying appropriate available systems/data sources, and producing collection requirement assessments that answer specific tasks to link and leverage agency capabilities in support of consumers, customers, and clients. Refined skills to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, in working out solutions to problems or questions related to the work, writing clear and concise intelligence products, and delivering written and/or verbal presentations to senior level audiences for decision-making purposes. As well as work in a professional manner with NASIC, DOD, and IC scientists, engineers, and intelligence analysts. Ability to maintain control of classified material, quickly assimilate disparate data, render knowledgeable and accurate assessments of the implication of such data, and make decisions, estimates, and recommendations under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience and present and/or defend a position effectively. Advanced knowledge and skill analyzing complex C4ISR functional areas with expertise fusing single intelligence sources into all-source assessments, conducting technical and military force analysis on assigned functional area aligned with the appropriate INDOPACOM, EUCOM/AFRICOM and CENTCOM areas of responsibility (AOR), and credentials leading small and large teams in analysis tradecraft, training and production. OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS: This position is covered by the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS), and as such will subject the incumbent to those examinations and or tests that are necessary to obtain and retain a security clearance and any special accesses required by the position in accordance with AFI 36-1101. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety. The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. An advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is highly desirable. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
