Tufts Medicine is seeking an Integrations Analyst I with a strong interest in healthcare integration to support HL7 interfaces across clinical systems. This role will focus on building, monitoring, and supporting integrations using Cloverleaf and Epic Bridges

Job Profile Summary 

This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of information technology (IT) solutions in order to meet the organization's needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems and applications infrastructure and the management of the IT infrastructure.  In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Information Architecture Design duties: Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.  Includes design and prototyping, trouble shooting/problem solving/bandwidth/performance/system sustainability, devices both clinical as well as non-clinical.   A professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs.  The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education.  An entry level role that applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education.  May require the following proficiency:  work is closely supervised, problems faced are not typically difficult or complex, and explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.

Job Overview 

This position is responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and supporting interfaces on our interface engines (Cloverleaf, OPENLink, and Rhapsody)Also responsible for implementing and supporting file transfers using our FTP platformsWorks on assignments that are less complex, less technical, and/or less critical than those assigned to more senior analystsWork collaboratively with all organizational staff at any level as required by specific assignments and is expected to relate effectively with outside software vendors and/or consultants in accomplishing assigned work. 

 

Job Description 

Minimum Qualifications: 

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area. 

2. Two (2) years of Healthcare IT experience including working with HL7 interfaces and some form of programming language or scripting tool. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

1. Experience with Cloverleaf, OPENLink or Rhapsody Interface Engines. 

2. Experience with health care information systems from Cerner, Meditech and GE. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive listOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned. 

 

1. Coordinates and prioritizes workload related to system integration and health information exchange. 

2. Develops, tests, implements, and supports interfaces as needed on our interface engines (Cloverleaf, OPENLink and Rhapsody). 

3. Acts as technical liaison between vendors, analysts, management, and end-users on integration projects. 

4. Provides integration/interface recommendations for managers, as needed. 

5. Provides support for interface engine upgrade. 

6. Provides some on call support for interface errors (interface engine or FTP-related) generally during business hours. 

7. Implements and supports file transfers using our FTP platforms. 

8. Serves as a member of the technical teams in Information Services, collaborating with technical resources as well as business analysts to meet hospital needs. 

9. Contributes to team projects, with the objective of becoming more technically proficient. 

10. Maintains existing policy and procedures for code reuse, documentation, and testing. 

11. Writes design documentation, and functional requirements and specifications with guidance. 

12. Works collaboratively with others in meeting user expectations and team deadlines. 

13. Writes medium-to-complex code. 

14. Participates in test case scenarios and LIVE support. 

15. With managerial oversight, leads small projects. 

16. Enhances professional growth and competency in field through participation in educational programs, in-service meetings and workshops and reading of current literature. 

 

Physical Requirements:  

1. Frequent sitting, occasional standing & walking, and lifting of 5-10 lbs.    

2. Mental requirements will be intense at times with involvement in many concurrent multi-faceted projects. 

3. Requires manual dexterity using fine hand manipulation to operate a computer keyboard or related equipment. 

4. Requires ability to see computer screen, monitoring equipment and reports. 

 

Skills & Abilities: 

1. Ability to be successful by prioritizing work, surveying resources, developing and choosing options, implementing change and deducting future needs from available information.  

2. Ability to develop or support data interfaces and programs. 

3. Highly proficient in relevant IT programming language, databases design tools and standard office software applications a must (e.g. Microsoft). 

4. Expert-level knowledge of report writing tools including Microsoft Office, SQL, SQL injector. Will consider other industry- related products or database management tools. 

5. General knowledge of current technological and healthcare related trends and developments in the area of health care integration. 

6. Skills in developing and maintaining effective interpersonal relationships, including persuasion, negotiation, gaining support and eliciting information. 

7. Ability to build and maintain rapport with superiors, peers and subordinates. 

8. Ability to communicate technical information clearly and concisely. 

9. Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills. 

10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  

11. Must work well under general supervision on both routine and non-routine tasks within established parameters. 

12. Problem-solving skills within team environment and with end users.

Pay Range:

 

$72,371.94 - $90,464.92
