Role Summary:
The AVP – Integration Architecture will lead the design, development, and governance of enterprise integration solutions. This role ensures seamless connectivity across internal systems and external client platforms, driving scalability, security, and performance. The AVP will act as a strategic partner to business and technology teams, providing architectural oversight and mentoring integration developers.
Key Responsibilities:
Integration Strategy & Architecture
- Define and maintain the enterprise integration architecture roadmap aligned with organizational goals.
- Establish best practices, standards, and reusable patterns for integration solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies (e.g., Workato, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Kafka) for adoption.
Solution Design & Delivery
- Architect and implement integration solutions leveraging APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Oversee development of complex workflows using platforms like Workato and programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL.
- Ensure robust error handling, monitoring, and performance optimization.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Mentor integration developers and foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
- Act as a liaison between product, client services, and engineering teams for integration initiatives.
Governance & Compliance
- Maintain integration architecture documentation and enforce adherence to security and compliance standards.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and test-driven development practices using tools like Jenkins, Git, and Autosys.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Drive automation and modernization of integration processes.
- Explore advanced integration patterns and cloud-native solutions to enhance system resilience and scalability.
Core Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong experience with iPaaS platforms (Workato preferred), API management, and microservices.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, SQL, and familiarity with Ruby.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and messaging systems (Kafka, EventHub).
- Architectural Skills:
- Ability to design high-performance, fault-tolerant integration architectures.
- Knowledge of industry protocols (ACORD, FIX, FPML) and data formats (JSON, XML, AVRO).
- Leadership:
- Proven ability to lead integration teams and manage strategic initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred:
- Experience with CI/CD, TDD, and DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with rule engines (Drools, ANTLR) and orchestration tools (Camunda).
