Monday-Friday (8 am-5 pm). No weekends or holidays.

Pay Range

$34.90 - $52.35

Position Highlights:

  • Intake Nurse, RN
  • Monday-Friday, 8 am-5 pm, No weekends or holidays.
  • Winston Salem

Education/Experience:

  • Graduation with a degree from an accredited School of Nursing with three years' clinical experience required.
  • QI/UR experience preferred. Home Infusion experience preferred.

License/Certification, and/or registration:

  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the applicable state Board of Nursing required.

Essential Functions:

  • Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
  • Performs all functions to facilitate a patient referral.
  • Coordinates with clinical disciplines to achieve optimal outcomes for patients.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of third-party payer contractual requirements related to infusion therapy.
  • Performs case management functions related to authorizations and billing follow-up.
  • Participates in planning by establishing personal goals to support quality improvement efforts and contributes to the achievement of departmental objectives.
  • Provides age/developmentally appropriate patient care in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficient PC computer skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure and function in high-stress situations.
