The purpose of this role is to oversee regulatory compliance within the organisation by monitoring and communicating changes to key stakeholders. This role involves coordinating market conduct examinations, organizing records efficiently, and ensuring accurate and consistent responses to examination requests. Additionally, the role focuses on streamlining examination processes, implementing recommendations to mitigate risks, and promoting best practices within the organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor new legislative and regulatory activity for designated areas of responsibility by researching and analysing proposed/changing legislation and communicating findings.
  • Develop effective partnerships with management teams and stakeholders by sending notifications of insurance regulatory changes.
  • Update the record keeping system with communications and maintain the QBE stakeholder listing for accurate communication distributions.
  • Assist with coordination of market conduct exams by liaising between business units and state Department(s) of Insurance (DOI) to ensure accuracy of responses and follow-up on recommendations.
  • Support internal and external audits within the area of responsibility.
  • Provide subject matter expertise knowledge on strategic projects.
  • Establish a professional company reputation by upholding organisational values during interactions and guiding the team to align with the company image.
  • Manage budgeted resources by accurately forecasting needs and accounting for expenses.
  • Contribute to a positive environment by demonstrating cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value diversity and inclusion.
  • Adopt QBE values in personal work behaviours and decision-making; manage own career development by soliciting feedback and valuing other perspectives.

Qualifications:

Necessary Qualifications include:

  • Tertiary Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
