At Team Global Express, we keep Australia moving and we’re looking for a driven and detail-focused Insurance Claims Officer to join our team.
In this pivotal role, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end claims process, ensuring claims are managed efficiently, accurately, and in line with compliance standards. You’ll play a key role in protecting the business, supporting stakeholders, and driving continuous improvement across claims performance.
About the Role
As an Insurance Claims Officer, you’ll be at the centre of our claims operations, working closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver timely resolutions and valuable insights.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and process insurance claims from initiation through to resolution
Investigate claims thoroughly, gathering documentation and maintaining accurate records in the Claims Register
Partner with Finance, Security, and Group Insurance teams to support reporting and analysis
Assess claims for validity and coverage, and negotiate outcomes where appropriate
Support legal processes, including investigations and preparation for potential litigation
Deliver training and guidance to internal teams to enhance claims handling capability
Assist with monthly provisioning and end-of-month reporting requirements
Identify trends, risks, and opportunities to improve processes and reduce claim costs
Provide a high standard of service to both internal stakeholders and external partners
You’re a proactive and solutions-focused professional who brings both technical expertise and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
What You’ll Bring
Solid understanding of insurance and corporate claims processes
Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence outcomes
High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking
Experience working with claims systems and the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience in incident investigation and reporting
Working knowledge of relevant legal frameworks (e.g. QCAT, VCAT, NSW small claims)
Capability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable improvements
