Job Description:
The SPD Instrument Specialist maintains instrumentation standards for the department by monitoring and inspection of all instrumentation process' by instrument count sheet and policy. Identifies and collaborates with shift Supervisor's and Educator educational requirements'.Researches and provides solutions to assist the department in becoming more cost and time efficient. Demonstrates a comprehensive grasp of all systems relating to SPD and how each interacts with the other towards meeting the day-to-day and long term goals of the Surgical Services department and the Health System. At the direction of the SPD Manager and Surgical Services Director, manages instrument purchases for budget year to other departments and Health System administrators.
Certifications/Licensures:
CRCST Certified Registered Central Service Technician - IAHCSMM Required or
Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - CBSPD The Certification Board for Sterile Required
CIS Certified Instrument Specialist - IAHCSMM Required
Skills:
Proficient in practice of instrument, implant, supply and equipment.
A high degree of organizational skills, ability to set priorities, manage multiple demands and the ability to complete tasks under strict time lines is required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point).
Work Shift:
10.0 - 05:00 - 15:30 No Waive (United States of America)
Pay Range:
$40.46 - $51.72
Hourly
Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.
Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
