Responsibilities:
Provide specialized clinical care for pediatric patients with musculoskeletal conditions, ranging from newborns through adolescents.
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide range of congenital, developmental, and traumatic orthopaedic conditions (e.g., clubfoot, scoliosis, limb length discrepancies, fractures).
Perform surgical and non-surgical treatments for bone, joint, and muscle disorders in children.
Participate in call coverage at ACNW in Northwest Arkansas.
Collaborate within an interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive and patient-centered treatment planning.
Communicate effectively with patients and families to explain diagnoses, care plans, treatment options, and post-treatment expectations.
Contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows through clinical instruction and teaching.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with UAMS and departmental standards.
Uphold the highest standards of patient safety, clinical quality, and ethical medical practice.
Engage in continuous professional development and remain current with advancements in pediatric orthopaedic care.
Represent the UAMS Orthopaedic Department with professionalism, supporting its mission of delivering world-class patient care.
Other duties as assigned.
