Empower customers and colleagues to master TRUMPF technology. As a Technical Instructor, you’ll deliver engaging, hands-on training in operation, programming, and maintenance for TRUMPF machines—through standardized courses at our training centers and customized on‑site sessions.

Locations: Farmington, CT (primary), Chicago, IL, Costa Mesa, CA, plus customer sites.

What you’ll do

  • Deliver high‑impact training across assigned product lines for customers and TRUMPF employees.
  • Tailor and improve curricula with the Head of Punch/Press Brake Training to meet customer needs.
  • Collaborate with HQ trainers and curriculum developers to keep content accurate and up to date.
  • Lead on‑site trainings and conduct field research at customer and TRUMPF facilities (up to 33% travel, domestic and international).
  • Manage schedules, attendance, and training records; evaluate Service Engineer performance during training.
  • Gather and analyze learner feedback to continuously enhance course quality.
  • Support Continuous Improvement, SYNCHRO initiatives, and special projects.

What you bring

  • Strong technical foundation in CNC sheet metal machine tools (TRUMPF experience preferred).
  • Training and/or field service experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; confident classroom and shop‑floor presence.
  • Solid PC skills: operating systems, networking, Microsoft Office.
  • Education: 2‑year technical degree in Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
