Job Summary:
Provides core content instruction and education to students based on the curriculum in compliance with local, state, and national education standards. Works with the Coordinator and others to maximize academic achievement, retention, certification, graduation and placement outcomes. Works collaboratively to plan and implement clinical learning experiences.
Position Responsibilities
Develop and deliver dynamic, effective, and engaging education according to the specified Medical Assistant/Patient Care Technician curriculum required. Observes actions during practice, provides positive or corrective feedback, and guide toward the acquisition of skills.
Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback to ensure mastery of the curriculum. Tests for competency and provides remediation as necessary.
Creates learning support tools to support students based on demonstrated needs. Grade course activities and post weekly and final grades by the predetermined deadline.
Assists in the evaluation of existing materials and programs with the goal of providing the highest quality programs for Virtua Health.
Position Qualifications Required:
Required Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician with experience in training/educating
Required Education: High School Graduate required, Associate’s degree preferred
Training / Certification / Licensure: Licensure, certification and required continuing education as a Certified Medical Assistant or a Certified Patient Care Technician
