Position Description:

The University of Louisville School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a full time, board eligible/certified pediatrician with a strong interest in education, leadership, and administration in general pediatrics as an Instructor/Chief Resident.

The position requires an individual who possesses strong leadership and interpersonal skills along with an ability to provide clinical/teaching of house staff and medical students.

The chief resident will generate a monthly house staff and conference schedule; provide mentoring to residents; and participate in the recruitment, retention, and promotion of house staff. The chief resident may serve as an Instructor in PALS and/or NRP.  Clinical duties as an inpatient attending hospitalist are required.

Qualified individuals must have completed three years as a pediatric resident.
