The Role:

Blue Owl is seeking a Vice President to develop new client relationships and support existing relationships within the Institutional Capital team based in New York. The role will be primarily accountable for sales production within the firm’s growing institutional client franchise. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to multiple facets of Blue Owl’s business and grow alongside an innovative, rapidly expanding alternatives asset management platform.  The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail‑oriented, and demonstrates an entrepreneurial spirit that enables them to take initiative and excel in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  •  Strengthen and deepen existing institutional client relationships by representing the full breadth of Blue Owl’s platform.

  • Develop new institutional relationships by leveraging Blue Owl’s full range of products and supporting collateral.

  • Responsible for fundraising efforts through prescribed coverage list as well as developing LP market mapping across products.

  • Work closely with client service through product marketing and investment & operational due diligence processes.

  • Maintain CRM (Salesforce) to ensure investor information, opportunity details, historical dialogue, and upcoming tasks are tracked clearly and monitored.

  • Create and distribute relevant materials and thoughtfully curate responses to investor requests, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), and requests for proposals (RFPs) across multiple products.

  • Work proactively with Product Specialists and subject matter experts across the firm to stay updated on new developments.

  • Become familiar with and able to communicate details around fund products and strategies, including investment-level information. Assist in updating existing marketing collateral and ensuring content is approved by key stakeholders prior to distribution.

  • Coordinate closely with other sales teams, marketing, product specialist, and management teams on all aspects of strategy and fund marketing.

  • Remain engaged with the team in New York headquarters for ongoing updates to the business and relevant product marketing materials and required processes.

Qualifications:

  • 6-10 years of professional experience in financial services.

  • Candidates with backgrounds covering North American based public pensions, E&Fs or consultants preferred, but not required.

  • Ability to create commercial, high-impact content that resonates with institutional clients.

  • Highly effective communication skills, with the ability to develop strong working relationships with nearly all business units across the firm, including senior management.

  • Ability to manage time appropriately to meet deadlines for multiple tasks and projects with similar and often quick turnaround timelines.

The base annual salary range for this New York-based position will be $150,000 to $200,000. Actual salary offered will be based on the candidate’s skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
