Installation Technician

Scope of Responsibility:
The Commercial Refrigeration Technician will be responsible for installing, servicing, and maintaining commercial refrigeration systems, including working with mechanical and electrical components. This role demands a team-oriented individual who takes pride in their work and is eager to advance their career within the company.

Specific Duties/Accountabilities:

• Install commercial refrigeration systems and related equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and other documents related to installations.
• Perform regular service and maintenance of commercial refrigeration units, ensuring optimal performance.
• Be safety-conscious by adhering to OSHA guidelines and practicing proper safety protocols on all job sites.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive, cooperative work environment.
• Improve installation and brazing techniques continually to enhance efficiency and quality of work.
• Maintain strong customer relationships by providing clear, friendly, and professional communication.
• Stay up to date on services and solutions offered by the company.
• Work diligently to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Basic Qualifications:

• General building and tool experience is required.
• Ability to travel out of town and work nights when needed.
• Commercial and/or supermarket refrigeration experience is preferred.
• Brazing experience is preferred.
• Strong desire to learn, grow, and take on additional responsibilities.
• Willingness to perform all aspects of supermarket installation.
• A certificate from a technical or trade school is a plus.
• Must reside in Michigan and have reliable transportation.
• Must be willing to obtain a chauffeur’s license if not already held.

Physical Requirements:

• Regularly required to stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at high elevations and climb ladders safely.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions.

• Outstanding customer service skills, ensuring client satisfaction at all stages of the project.
