Vanderlande is a global leader in material handling and automation systems. As part of our Project Execution team, we are looking for an experienced Installation Manager to lead our installation Site Management Team within the Warehouse domain. In this role, you will drive best practice, champion safety, and enable your team to deliver high-quality installation activities across a diverse project portfolio.

You will be a key leader who sets standards, builds capability, and fosters a culture of continuous improvement. With a strong focus on people, safety, and performance, you will ensure successful project execution while developing future leaders and strengthening our operational excellence.

What will you be doing?

As an Installation Manager, you will lead the Site Management Team within the Warehouse domain to ensure safe, high-quality, and efficient installation execution across international projects. You will set the standard for best practice, drive performance, build capability, and foster a collaborative and inclusive culture.

Acting as a safety champion and trusted leader, you will support your team through coaching, clear direction, and strong stakeholder engagement while continuously seeking ways to improve processes, performance, and delivery outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Site Management professionals, strengthening team capability and future leadership.
  • Champion safety, quality, and best practice, ensuring all installation activities meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Promote accountability, process adherence, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Act as a key stakeholder for internal and external partners, building strong relationships and enhancing the team’s brand.
  • Navigate ambiguity with a solution-oriented approach and drive adoption of new ways of working.
  • Foster a cohesive and inclusive working environment built on trust, collaboration, and clarity of ownership.
  • Inspire resilience during challenging situations, encouraging innovation and constructive problem-solving.
  • Support cross-functional alignment and contribute to strategic initiatives led by the Senior Construction Manager.
  • Monitor and achieve operational and tactical KPIs, ensuring project performance and team effectiveness.
  • Lead with empathy, authenticity, and strong communication—delivering feedback, coaching, and guidance effectively.
  • Champion a growth mindset and continuous development for yourself and the team.

Experience & Skills

  • 5–10+ years of leadership experience with strong people management capability.
  • Proven success managing large, multi-disciplinary teams on complex international projects.
  • Solid understanding of project delivery across the lifecycle, with experience implementing best practices.
  • Strong safety leadership and knowledge of local HSE regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cultural change and build high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with general IT systems.
  • Skilled at working in ambiguity with an entrepreneurial, solution-driven mindset.
  • Understanding of financial and project management fundamentals.

Qualifications

  • Higher-level education (technical preferred).
  • Competence in resource planning, competence management, and site organization.
  • Strong communicator with international and multicultural awareness.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 5.400 to € 6.400 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance).
