Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor call sheets and online systems for in-process work such as bond, torque, seal, and Installation Plan (IP) buy-offs. Check for Out Of Sequence Installation Plans (OSIP), Non-Conformance Orders (NCO), rejection tags, Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), reinspection requests, and Corrective Action Records (CAR).

  • Inspect production and post-delivery power plant and strut assemblies to ensure compliance with drawings, BAC specifications, maintenance manuals, repair station work, and service bulletins.

  • Perform receivable inspections on parts, engines, and struts, verifying identification numbers, condition, and paperwork accuracy; document discrepancies as required.

  • Use online systems (e.g., Non-Conformance Management) to track pickups and monitor responses from Engineering.

  • Verify proper installation of check fixtures according to tool usage and buy-off fit or installation requirements.

  • Document part removals, record discrepancies, and initiate removal records as necessary.

  • Retrieve and interpret drawings using online systems (e.g., Bold/Web, Bold-lite) to support inspection activities.

  • Utilize precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) and verify their certification dates.

  • Coordinate with Liaison and Project Engineering to resolve drawing discrepancies or other technical issues.

  • Maintain required certifications (e.g., seal, electrical, bond, and ground) to perform assigned tasks.

  • Receive and inspect wire bundles before and after installation per drawing specifications.

  • Perform final inspections and buy-offs on engines, APUs, or struts as required.

  • Conduct audits such as area surveillance and process specification audits; verify drawing currency, seal dates, and 5S compliance in assembly areas. Witness and verify functional test performance.

  • Handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely, using appropriate personal protective equipment.

  • Support inspection requirements in new product development, including red label, restrictive use, conformity checks, and first article verifications; travel may be required.

  • Coordinate and communicate with customers and suppliers to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

  • Perform precision assembly and process inspections on assemblies like control columns and landing gear, checking fit, tolerances, finishes, and operational compliance.

  • Initiate and document nonconforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, or assemblies according to specifications and procedures.

  • Conduct audits and surveillance of manufacturing and quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with standards.

  • Plan and organize own work sequence, follow inspection procedures to accept or reject work, and escalate questionable cases or improvement suggestions to lead inspectors.

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

  • Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

  • Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.

  • Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.

  • Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.

  • Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.62 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).

  • 1+ years of experience with Structures Assembly, Mechanical Assembly, Electrical Assembly, and/or Final Assembly.

  • Ability to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneel.

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with precision measuring tools.
