About You and this Role-

Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Inspection Planner in Orange, TX.

In this role, you will create job packages from the inspection scopes which contain all the information regarding required labor material and services to ensure safe, effective and efficient execution of inspections. You will collaborate with scheduling and coordinating resources to ensure compliance with inspection due dates. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Responsibilities-

  • Plan all inspection orders to ensure compliance.

  • Collaborations with API Inspectors to fulfill scope requirements.

  • Manages planning backlog within an established KPI.

  • Requires full proficiency in NDE and Inspection Technology.

  • Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Qualifications-

  • High School diploma or equivalent AND one of the following is required:

    • 4 or more years of relevant experience in a Planning or Inspections role within a Chemical Manufacturing environment.

    • Dow will consider those with 3 or more years of relevant military experience.

  • Successful candidates must be able to work a10-hour schedule and work overtime as needed, including Holidays and Weekends.

  • Current, valid US driver's license.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.  No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

  • SAP Experience

  • Planning Experience

  • Inspection and NDE Experience

Your Skills-

  • Mechanical Integrity - Proficiency in Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) and inspection technologies is essential. You must be able to interpret inspection scopes, understand technical requirements, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Inspection Plans - Ability to create comprehensive job packages from inspection scopes, detailing labor, materials, and services for safe and efficient execution. Familiarity with planning tools and checklists is important.

  • Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) - Experience with SAP or similar CMMS platforms is preferred for managing inspection orders, planning backlogs, and tracking compliance.

  • Collaboration - Regular collaboration with API Inspectors and scheduling teams to fulfill scope requirements and meet inspection due dates.

  • Detail Orientated - Strong attention to detail in planning, documentation, and compliance with established KPIs and safety protocols.

Must be able to meet the following physical demands of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Wear safety equipment, such as earplugs, goggles, respirators and steel-toed shoes as needed.

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Climb ladders and stairs.
