About the Role:

Are you a data-driven professional who thrives on uncovering insights that influence strategic decisions?

Reporting to the Manager, Supporter Insights, the Insights Analyst plays a key role in delivering insightful and impactful supporter and campaign analysis. Through advanced data analytics, you will help improve campaign performance, enhance supporter lifetime value, and contribute to the long-term strategic objectives of the fundraising department.

This is an exciting permanent F/T opportunity based in Blackburn, Melbourne (with hybrid working arrangements) to influence strategic decision-making by turning complex data into meaningful, actionable insights that drive fundraising success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extract and analyse donor communication and fundraising data from multiple sources
  • Deliver advanced analytics that highlight industry, market, supporter and campaign trends, identifying opportunities to improve performance
  • Contribute to the design, implementation and testing of key data products, including: donor journey analysis, customer lifetime value modelling, behavioural and correlation modelling, next best decision modelling, ROI and marketing mix modelling and customer segmentation models
  • Support profiling, segmentation, targeting, productivity and profitability analysis of fundraising campaigns
  • Provide competitive, market and forecasting insights to inform strategy
  • Assist in developing and executing the analytics strategy and roadmap
  • Build, maintain and enhance data models with robust quality assurance processes

About You:

  • Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience in data analytics, insights, or business intelligence roles
  • Strong capability in analysing and manipulating large datasets
  • Proficiency in tools such as Power BI, Power Query and Excel
  • Experience in a fundraising or multichannel marketing environment (highly regarded)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to professionally influence a diverse range of stakeholders
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data quality and compliance
