The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an Inside Sales Director, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the country. This is a key leadership role responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth through high-performing inside sales teams. This individual oversees the daily operations, sets ambitious targets, and ensures alignment with the organization’s overall business objectives.

The Director of Inside Sales will cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement while leveraging data-driven insights to optimize performance.

Here you will make an impact by:

  • Lead development and execution of multi-year functional strategy aligned to enterprise goals.
  • Translate organizational strategy into actionable workforce or operational plans.
  • Identify and drive transformational initiatives.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders (VP+). Will report into VP of Sales, North America
  • Partner cross-functionally (Finance, IT, Legal, Operations, etc.) to drive integrated business outcomes.
  • Chair or co-lead enterprise steering committees or cross-functional workgroups.
  • Lead multiple teams or managers; manage through layers rather than directly.
  • Develop leadership bench and succession plans for critical roles.
  • Build a diverse, high-performing culture and coach leaders on talent and performance management.
  • Own or influence a budget or P&L segment.
  • Make resource allocation decisions tied to ROI and business outcomes.
  • Use data to measure and report enterprise impact, not just function efficiency.
  • Sponsor or lead innovation pilots or strategic projects that scale across the business.
  • Introduce new tools, technology, or methodologies that improve performance or employee experience.
  • Anticipate future business needs and build proactive solutions.
  • Expand remit to include regional or global accountability.
  • Oversee multiple business units or functions.
  • Influence company policy or enterprise standards.
  • Represent the company externally (industry panels, partnerships, university relations, community engagement).
  • Build strategic relationships with vendors, agencies, or thought leaders.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the inside sales management team and representatives to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Design and implement effective sales processes, best practices, and performance metrics to maximize team productivity.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the company’s customer base and ensure strong market presence.
  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Customer Success, and Product teams to align sales strategies with overall business goals.
  • Recruit, onboard, and train top inside sales talent; foster a culture of professional development.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs, pipeline metrics, and forecasting to senior leadership.
  • Drive adoption of CRM and other sales enablement tools to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights.
  • Manage sales budgets, incentives, and compensation plans to align with company objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND seven (7) years of sales experience, with at least five (5) years in a leadership or management role in sales.

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED from AND fourteen (14) years of sales experience, with at least five (5) years in a leadership or management role in sales

AND

In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:

  • Knowledge of relevant tools, including SFDC, Tableau, Sales Aid, SalesLoft, and other team-specific tools.

Additional Requirements

In this role, you may be required to enter healthcare or other third-party facilities. Those facilities may, in turn, require you to possess certain licenses, vaccinations, and/or other credentials or qualifications (collectively “prerequisites to entry”) for regulatory, safety, or other business reasons. All information will be kept in accordance with applicable law and Solventum policies. In order to respond to the prerequisites to entry, Solventum may share your information with the providers of medical screens, vaccinations, or verifications as well as the healthcare or other third-party facilities requiring the prerequisites to entry.

Travel: May include up to 10% travel domestic

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $260,301 - $318,146, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
