Penn Waste in Manchester, PA is currently looking for an Inside Sales Representative,
The Inside Sales Representative plays a key role in supporting growth by building relationships with current and prospective customers, responding to inbound inquiries, and proactively identifying new sales opportunities. This position blends customer service, sales outreach, and administrative support to ensure a smooth and positive experience for our commercial customers.
You’ll work closely with our Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams to provide accurate information, prepare quotes, and help customers choose the services that best meet their needs. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, personable, and motivated by helping customers while contributing to the overall success of Penn Waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inbound calls, emails, and online inquiries from prospective customers
- Conduct outbound follow‑up calls to warm leads, lapsed accounts, and targeted prospect lists
- Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and service recommendations
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, leads, and opportunities in CRM systems
- Support the Sales team with documentation and follow‑up
- Assist with contract renewals, service upgrades, and customer retention efforts
- Collaborate with Customer Service and Operations to ensure smooth onboarding of new accounts
- Provide product and service knowledge to customers in a clear, professional manner
- Meet and exceed monthly activity sales goals

Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a related role
- Strong communication skills — written, verbal, and interpersonal
- Comfortable making outbound calls and engaging with customers
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Experience with CRM software (Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational habits
- Positive attitude, team‑oriented mindset, and commitment to excellent customer service
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed in a sales environment.
- Experience in the waste management or environmental services sector is a plus.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
