Position Overview
This position is responsible for supporting production operations and new product development for liquid agricultural and industrial products, leading inorganic formulation and process chemistry efforts. This role supports and improves ongoing manufacturing operations while also developing, scaling, and commercializing liquid agricultural and industrial products, including micronutrient, NPK, inorganic salt, and chelated solutions. The position contributes to product and technology research, development, and manufacturing support in a manner that meets the needs of customers, achieves growth and profitability objectives, and allows for efficient and effective product introduction.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, plan and implement product and technology development projects from conception to production.
Provide technical support to manufacturing by identifying and implementing process and formulation improvements that improve throughput, reduce cost, enhance quality, improve product performance, enhance worker safety and protect the environment.
Provide technical support to operations and business/technology development, assisting with the identification and assessment of new technology and/or process improvement initiatives.
Establish, maintain, report on and accomplish the priorities established in a technical project plan; manage and control the budgeted expenses associated with the technical plan.
Recognize and respond to seasonal and project-specific time constraints

Minimum Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in chemistry or chemical engineering required; advanced degree (master's or PhD) in Inorganic Chemistry strongly preferred
3-5 years’ professional research or industrial experience required
Ability to manage projects independently and meet deadlines
Detail oriented with strong documentation skillset required
Ability to travel 10-15%, as required
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Working conditions include laboratory work as well as office work
Must be able to sit/stand for an extended period of time
Exposure to dust, chemicals, hazardous materials etc.
