Innovation Finance Business Partner

Job Description :

Responsibilities:

• Business Partnering

  • Build rapport & become a trusted business partner for innovation brand team & technical team

  • Engage with business teams through the gate process, scenario planning, business case preparation of any new launch or renovation

  • Support in P&L creation & bring ideas & insights through external benchmarking, industry trends

  • Engage with DBSI ATL PO creation team & third-party audit team acting as a query response mechanism for PO creation, invoice settlement, supporting proofs for innovation portfolio

• Budget Management & O&R Planning

  • Support planning & forecasting process in the year (annual & monthly)

  • Enable timely & accurate tracking of spend plans to ensure no under or over utilization

  • Manage financial implications of the innovation pipeline

• Reporting & Month Close

  • Facilitating creation of provisions, based on activity completion, by liaising with brand managers

  • Support settlement of invoices

  • Manage status of open POs & aged POs

  • Ensuring accuracy & correctness of innovation tracking & reporting of growth contribution

  • Management reporting of innovation pipeline, financials, budget v. actuals with key insights in the form of monthly scorecards

  • Monthly tracking & reporting of marketing & innovation overheads including ensuring that spends remain within budget

• Governance

  • Support audit requirements

  • Ensure compliance of policies, controls & SOA

  • Engage in quarterly RMCs highlighting any critical risk failures

• Ad hoc Requirements

  • Automation initiatives

  • Global or local requirements on P&L metrics

  • Support to tax team on any innovation/renovation project related implications

Stakeholders:

• Marketing Leadership Team (CMO), Innovation Managers, R&D team, Legal team, Supply Finance Head, Demand Finance Head, Demand Finance Controller, DBSI ATL PO Creation Team

Profile of Candidate:

• Chartered accountant / MBA Finance

• 5-6 years’ work experience in Finance

• Ability manage and influence multiple stakeholders

• Good communication skills & time management skills

• Problem solving attitude

• Analytical skills & ability to connect the dots and leverage understanding of system economics
