Innovation Assistant (12 month FTC)

Job Profile Summary

Maternity cover, providing day‑to‑day support to the Partnership & Innovation team and assisting with innovation initiatives, partner engagement and internal coordination activity.

This role is aimed at someone who has proven relevant experience and the role is for 12 months from June.

Job Description

  • Support the Innovation function in the delivery of innovation initiatives, pilots and external collaborations.

  • Assist with coordination of innovation programmes, workshops, events and internal/external meetings.

  • Undertake research and market scanning on emerging risks, technologies and business models relevant to Chaucer.

  • Provide administrative support to innovation projects, including documentation, presentations and reporting.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners to support effective communication and information flow.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

  • High attention to detail and confidence producing professional‑quality written materials and presentations.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to research and summarise complex topics clearly.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence working across functions and with external partners.

  • Interest in innovation, new technologies and emerging risk themes within insurance and reinsurance.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); familiarity with collaboration tools desirable.
