What’s the role
As Inlec Technician you will be responsible for the safe, quality and effective maintenance execution for defined EI scopes.

What you’ll be doing
We will look to you to:
Execute the defined PM and CM scopes from the CMMS including but not limited to:
Critical function testing on various safety critical systems
Hazardous Area visual and detailed inspections
Fault finding on complex electrical and instrumentation systems
LV/HV equipment maintenance
Instrument calibrations
Confined space working
PLC fault finding
Follow all prescribed PTW and Safe Isolation practices.
Record the work log and all required Work Order closure information in the CMMS.
Ensure all CM scopes identified during work execution are appropriately entered into the CMMS.
Ensure all role specific training and competency is up to date.
Ensure SCE maintenance is delivered on time and as planned.
Participate in continuous improvement discussion with the team.
Ensure efficient use of time to deliver work scopes.
What you bring
To be considered for this role you will have:
Certifications
INLEC Dual Trade Certificate (preferred) or Electrician with Instrumentation certificate
Endorsed Electrical Fitter / Mechanic or Electrician’s Licence
A Grade Electrical License
Current First Aid (inc CPR) Certificate & LV Rescue.
Nationally accredited training and licenses in Working at Heights desirable.
Skilled in detailed fault finding on complex electrical and instrumentation systems.
Sound experience with:
Electric or Gas Driven Compression equipment desirable.
Permit to Work (PTW) systems and safety monitoring systems.
Industrial facilities and associated work and safety / permit systems is desirable.
High voltage systems / networks and their protection devices, switching mechanisms etc.; with ABB LV switchgear and MCC’s.
Demonstrated in-depth technical knowledge in:
Fire and gas detection systems SIS.
Hazardous areas in plant/wells particularly with methods of protection – Exd, Exe, Exn, Ex ia & Ex ib and be able to identify associated rectification, inspection protocols and dossier requirements.
Using CMMS systems to record asset history, failure reporting, work logs and hours – SAP experience would be highly regarded.
Compressed air (utility and instrument) and nitrogen generation systems specifically rotary screw compressors and their controls along with molecular sieve bed nitrogen generation systems and associated analysers and instrumentation.
Controls valves and associated instrumentation.
The use of P&ID’s, Cause and Effect matrix, Schematics, data sheets, loop drawings, termination diagrams etc.
Electrical principles with reference to electric motors, heating circuits, variable speed drives along with associated controls.
