Position Overview:

Develops, coordinates, implements and maintains the injury prevention programs and participates in community injury prevention programs based on Trauma Registry data and the needs of the community.

Job Description:

EDUCATION:

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• Bachelor's: Bachelor's of Science in Health or related field.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:

• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years recent relevant experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Knowledge of local community and community agencies
• Medical terminology
• Knowledge of Computer software including (word, excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiar with professional desktop publishing (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PageMaker) software
• Website development : Teamsite and Sharepoint
• Grant Writing
• Public speaking
• Must possess verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with external and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to express complex issues in understandable ways.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to anticipate proactively resolve issues.
• Ability to recognize and take advantage of opportunities that will enhance the injury prevention program and the image of the Trauma Center and assigned Affiliate.
• Organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and respond quickly and effectively.

Pay Range is $43.34 to $65.00 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.
