We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Injection Molding Tool and Die Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team in Smyrna, TN. This role is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing injection molding molds to ensure efficient production and high-quality output.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on injection molds.
  • Troubleshoot and repair tooling by utilizing machine tools, welding, polishing, and die grinders (Hand Grinding).
  • Modify molds to conform to engineering changes; conduct tryouts of new molds.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve tool performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and tool history.
  • Operate precision equipment such as mills and lathes.
  • Assist in mold setup and changeovers as needed.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Operate lift trucks, overhead cranes, and mobile powered equipment
  • Attend training as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in tool and die maintenance in injection molding.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mold construction and function.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience with 3-axis CNC machining processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Standing, bending, and working for extended periods.
  • Use of hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment.
